Also in this XXIV Edition of the Biennial of Fabric Art photographers professionals and amateurs will be able to participate in the photography contest, which from this year will be dedicated to the incomparable Rossana Molinatti.
Rossana, an art expert, several times on the jury, but above all a great friend of our Association since the first editions of the Biennial, passed away in March 2021. To remember her and to commemorate her colorful creations, we have chosen “Rossana Molinatti” as the theme for the Photo Contest:

Participation in the competition is open to all, enthusiasts or professionals, without any age or nationality limits.
Only photographs taken during the XXIV Edition of the Biennial Show of Blacksmith Art in Stia from 02nd to 05th September 2021 are admitted to the competition.
Participation in the competition is free of charge.
Only photographs taken during the event of the XXIV European Biennial of Fabbrile Art in Stia from 02 to 05 September 2021 are eligible for the competition.

Indicating in the email NAME, SURNAME, PHONE NUMBER of the participant and in the subject line:
“Stia 2021 European Biennial Photographic Competition of Fabric Art”
Digital files are accepted. Images in jpg format must be 1920 pixels in size for the largest side and weigh no more than 3 MB.
Files should be named with NAME and SURNAME of the photographer, TITLE of the photo and a PROGRESSIVE NUMBER (e.g. GUIDOBIANCHI_TITLE_01.jpg).
File preparation is permitted only if it is limited to basic cleaning (understood as removal of dust, scratches and noise reduction), slight adjustments in color, contrast, brightness, sharpness (slight sharpening), tonal values and contour lines.
It is not allowed, the insertion or deletion of elements within the image, merging two or more images (e.g., photo stitching technique) or sandwiching between two or more slides.
Multiple exposures are allowed only if they are within the native functions of the camera used.
No borders, watermarks or signatures should be included on images.
The evaluation of the works will be at the sole discretion of the Jury.
The Jury will evaluate the ability to interpret the theme, creativity and technical content of the submitted images. The Jury reserves the right not to accept images whose realization is presumed to cause harm and offense to the subject of the same or otherwise not in line with the spirit of the competition.
The Jury will be composed of members of the Stia Autonomous Biennial Association of Fabulous Art and photographers of recognized professionalism.
The Jury’s decision has a binding character, so it is final.
The prizes up for grabs are divided as follows:
1st Place – Work in Wrought Iron
2nd Place – Work in Wrought Iron
3rd Place – Work in Wrought Iron
The award ceremony will take place within the premises of the Woolen Mill in Stia on a date yet to be determined, will be communicated by email to all participants and will be posted on our social as soon as possible.
Winners will be notified by an e-mail in which they will also be given the necessary instructions for uploading the native files of the submitted images as recorded by the camera without manipulation in RAW, DNG or JPG format. In case of scanning the files the original slide will be required.
In case of non-receipt the image will be disqualified.
All rights to the photos must be owned by the author, unencumbered by agencies or publishers.
The Biennial European blacksmith art of Stia will have the right to use all the images from the competition free of charge for publication on websites, any advertising brochures and calendars. Similarly it may display the photos in exhibitions related to the competition and in any case whenever the organizers deem it necessary. Whenever the photos are used the Author will be mentioned.
The organization reserves the right to change and/or abolish the conditions and procedures having to do with this contest at any time before the date of its conclusion. In such a case, the organization itself will inform participants of the changes and/or abolitions that have occurred.
The participant, by submitting the images, implicitly declares that he/she is the author and holds all rights to them, relieves the organizers from any claims made by third parties in relation to the ownership of the copyrights of the photographs and infringement of the rights of the persons represented and any other rights related to the submitted photographs. By submitting photographs, the participant accepts these Rules and Regulations.
Any information of a personal nature will be used in compliance with the regulations protecting privacy. In accordance with art. 13 of Legislative Decree 196/2003, personal data provided by participants will be collected for the purposes of managing the selection. Also, personal data are processed by automated tools for the time strictly necessary to achieve the purposes for which they were collected. The provision of data is mandatory for the purpose of assessing the participation requirements, under penalty of exclusion from the selection.
