“ROSSANA MOLINATTI” PHOTOGRAPHY COMPETITION
During the XXV Edition of the Biennale Europea d’Arte Fabbrile the “Rossana Molinatti” Photography Competition will take place; the theme of the Competition designated by the Organizing Committee, under the patronage of the National Park of the Casentino Forests, is:
“My Biennale: the protagonists, the colours, the sounds, the lights, the emotions of the Biennale Europea d’Arte Fabbrile in Stia.”
REGULATIONS
Participation in the competition is open to everyone, enthusiasts or professionals, without age and nationality limits.
Only photographs taken during the event “XXV Biennale Europea d’Arte Fabbrile of Stia” – from 31 August to 3 September 2023 – are admitted to the competition.
A maximum of 5 photographs is accepted. The photos must be sent no later than September 12, 2023 by email to:
In the text of the email you must indicate NAME, SURNAME, TELEPHONE NUMBER of the participant and in the subject: “Photography Competition – Biennale Europea d’Arte Fabbrile 2023”
Only photographs taken during the event of the XXIV European Biennial of Fabbrile Art in Stia from 02 to 05 September 2021 are eligible for the competition.

Indicating in the email NAME, SURNAME, PHONE NUMBER of the participant and in the subject line:
“Stia 2021 European Biennial Photographic Competition of Fabric Art”
Digital files are accepted. Images in JPG format must have a size of 1920 pixels for the largest side and a size not exceeding 3MB.
The files must be named with the NAME and SURNAME of the photographer, the TITLE of the photo and a PROGRESSIVE NUMBER (e.g. GUIDOBIANCHI_TITLE_01.jpg).
No borders, watermarks, or signatures should be included on the images.
The evaluation of the works will take place at the sole discretion of the Jury.
The Jury will evaluate the ability to interpret the theme, the creativity and the technical content of the images presented.
The Jury reserves the right not to accept images whose realization is presumed to cause damage and offense to their subject or in any case not in line with the spirit of the competition.
The Jury will be composed of members of the Associazione Autonoma per la Biennale Europea d’Arte Fabbrile of Stia and photographers of recognized professionalism.
The decision of the Jury is binding; therefore, it is final.
The prizes up for grabs are divided as follows:
1st Place – Work in Wrought Iron
2nd Place – Work in Wrought Iron
3rd Place – Work in Wrought Iron
The award ceremony will take place in ways that will then be communicated to the winners via email and to all other participants through our social media channels (Facebook, Instagram, Telegram).
The winners will be notified by email which will also contain the instructions necessary for uploading the original files of the images presented, as recorded by the camera without manipulation in RAW, DNG or JPG format. In the case of file scans, the original slide will be required.
In case of non-receipt, the image will be disqualified.
All rights to the photos must be owned by the author, without constraints by agencies or publishing houses.
The Biennale Europea d’Arte Fabbrile of Stia will have the right to use – free of charge – all the images of the competition for publication on websites, on any advertising brochures and on calendars.
Similarly, it will be able to exhibit the photos in exhibitions related to the competition, and in any case whenever the organizers deem it necessary. Every time the photos are used, the author will be cited.
The organization reserves the right to modify and/or abolish at any time the conditions and procedures concerning this competition before the date of its conclusion. In this case, the organization itself will inform the participants of the changes and/or abolitions that have occurred.
The participant, by sending the images, implicitly declares to be the author of them and to hold all the rights, he/she relieves the organizers from any request made by third parties in relation to the ownership of the copyright of the photographs and the violation of the rights of the persons represented and any other right related to the photographs sent. By submitting photographs, the participant accepts these regulations.
Any personal information will be used in compliance with the rules to protect privacy. Pursuant to Art. 13 of Legislative Decree no. 196/2003, the personal data provided by participants will be collected for the purposes of selection management. Personal data are also processed with automated tools for the time strictly necessary to achieve the purposes for which they were collected. The provision of data is mandatory for the purpose of evaluating the participation requirements, under penalty of exclusion from the selection.
